Chris Pandolfi is a Grammy Award winning artist and producer based in Colorado. Chris graduated from Dartmouth College in 2001 and went on to be the first ever banjo principal at The Berklee College of Music before moving to Nashville to form The Infamous Stringdusters in 2006. The Stringdusters won three awards at the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards Show in 2007, and have since gone on to become an influential voice in the recent rise of bluegrass music. They have 4 Grammy Nominations and one win for Album of the Year in 2018. Chris is also a producer with a number of credits to his name, including The Kitchen Dwellers, Never Come Down, Clay St. Unit, The Infamous Stringdusters and many more. His solo music (under the moniker TRAD PLUS) ranges from modern banjo composition to a fusion of beats, vinyl samples, synths and much more, all self-produced, written, and performed. He gave the keynote address at the 2011 IBMA business conference and was later elected to the IBMA board of directors in 2019. More recently, Chris started Inside the Musician’s Brain - a successful music podcast featuring interviews with big names across a wide musical spectrum that has already amassed well over 300k downloads.
